Cup of Cheer

This week's Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge is a sketch challenge.

I had fun with this one! For one it is the first sketch challenge that I have tried and I got to use some of the stamp sets that I just purchased. I love Peachy Keen Stamps. They bring so much life to crafts and they're just so darn cute. Here is my Peachy creation!

Materials:
Card - Base Recollections craft card stock, patterned paper from DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack, solid paper The Paper Company card stock
Cup - paper DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack, cut from Love You A Latte cartridge, PKS Cherub Faces, "hot chocolate" stamp from MCT Do The Cocoa Motion
Marshmellows - PKS Hot Cocoa, Glossy Accents

Classy Lady

Here is my take on the Cardz TV "Color Me Happy" Challenge

Color challenges seem to limit my design choice so I try to play along with the color challenges to help me think outside the box.  The guidelines were to use marigold yellow, royal blue, regal purple and grey (small amounts of black and white are allowed). I would have never thought to use this color combination so I had a bit of a time coming up with a design.

I started by looking for a pattern paper and once I found the perfect one in my stash this is the design I came up with.

Forever Young Cricut Cartridge

Christmas Tree Treats

When I initially read the requirements for this week's Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge several different ideas ran through my mind. I began looking through my carts to see what would be the best box to cut and decorate. I ran across the Christmas Tree box and all my original ideas were tossed to the side. As soon as I saw it I knew that it would be perfect one because it's a 3D box and two because I love making Christmas crafts. This design will definitely be used as one of my Christmas treat boxes this year.

Materials:
Cartridges: Cricut Craft Room Basics; Tags, Bags, Boxes & More; Stretch Your Imagination; Doodlecharms; Best of 2006 (Christmas Cheer and Celebrations)
Paper: DCWV and Recollections Cardstock; Me & My Big Ideas Specialty Cardstock; K & Company Confetti Paper
Peachy Keen Stamps Cherub Faces
Studio G Extra Fine Glitter
Ribbon and Rhinestones from Stock

I just love how my treat box came out. This is one that really came together as I was working. I can't wait to to make more and different variations.

Baby Girl Zebra

I still don't know all the ins and outs and tricks of blogging but I must say that I am having fun figuring things out. Last week I figured out how to add a widget and I put my first "blinkie" on my blog. I am making a goal for myself to learn at least one new blog tip each week.

I am also having fun creating for these challenges. I created this quick card for the "Cricut Cardz Challenge #114 - Critter Cuties."

Yappy Birthday

I wanted to participate in the Peachy Challenge 29: Color Inspiration
As I sat at my craft table I realized this was going to be hard for me. I wanted to do something different and out of my comfort zone but I was limited because the only Peachy Keen Stamps that I have are faces. I finally came up with a design, while not out of my comfort zone I did learn that:
  1. I need to expand my Peachy Keen stamp collection to include some images
  2. Color challenges are more difficult than I thought
    • I changed the paper and the cut more times than I can count
At any rate I had fun creating so here is my interpretation of the color challenge. I hope you enjoy!

Recollections Card Stock
Patterned Paper from DCWV Latte
Create A Critter

Granny's Sweeties

I created this 12x12scrapbook layout for a friend's mother.

All cuts came from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge except for the hearts which came from Cricut Craftroom Basics. I used Peachy Keen Stamp sets (Simple Sallies, Basic Paper Doll, Everyday Character, Cute & Cuddly, and Wide Eyed Kids) for all of the faces.

Off To College

I made this card for a young lady that will be attending Hampton University
The pennent and the books were cut from the Locker Talk Cartridge
I used Cricut Craft Room to position and cut the wording in the images
Hampton was cut using Cricut Craft Room Basics and Calculus 101 was cut using the Cuttin' Up Cartridge
College Bound was cut from Cricut Craft Room Basics and I welded it together
The patterned paper (I wanted it to look like a dorm room) is from a Color Bok stack

Berry Special

This is a thank you card I created for a friend:
The polka dot paper is from Recollections
The strawberry patterned paper is from a Colorbok Stack
The chocolate covered strawberry is cut from the Sweet Shop cartridge all layers cut at 2 1/2
I used Recollections card stock for the strawberry and I cut the outer chocolate layer out of brown vinyl.
The embellishment on the strawberry is from the Martha Stewart Collection
The Sentiment is from the $1 section at Michael's
